Description
Albie is a cute little donkey with an extremely loud bray. He was born in the new forest early 2019 and was bought at a very young age from the sales. He lived with a very elderly Shetland pony for the first four years of his life and had so much to learn about being a donkey. His previous owners realised his strange behaviour was a sign he needed to be with other donkeys and they relinquished him to the sanctuary in May 2023 so he could flourish as part of a herd.
Being an adult stallion he needed some specialist work to castrate him so he could calmly interact with the sanctuary’s herd along with a full medical, Flu and Tetanus vaccinations, his feet trimmed and all important dentistry work. He is lovely boy and is now enjoying a new friendship with Percy.
As part of your adoption package, in addition to your certificate and photograph, you will have the opportunity to come along and meet him at his home on Hayling Island at one of our Open Days.
