Alfie is a liver chestnut donkey colt and looked liked a little ball of fur. He was born early 2017 and was found at four months old along with his half brother Hugo and his mum a Jenny donkey called Daphne. They had been kept in a small overcrowded pen without shelter from the elements. Instead of a bed of straw to lay on they had to stand in deep droppings. Alfie’s thick matted coat encrusted with faeces hid his tiny bony body. Now he has a thick straw bed and weatherproof shelter. He has had a dental health check, been wormed, his feet trimmed and his crusty matted hair brushed regularly. Daily loving care and attention is helping him to trust people again.
As part of your adoption package in addition to your certificate and photograph you will have the opportunity to come along and meet him at his home on Hayling Island.
