Description
Reggie is a miniature donkey and is tiny compared to the other donkeys at the sanctuary. He was born around 2019 and found himself tethered to a chain in his last home which has made him feel unsure and nervous of people. Since arriving at the sanctuary in late 2024 he has been castrated, vaccinated, had his teeth done and his hooves trimmed. Now he is undergoing daily training to be caught, touched and have his head collar on. He has been mixing with the others through the fence and has even shared a hay net and played with Bertie. We are slowly introducing him to some of our quieter boys of a similar age. We monitor him closely and make sure all is polite and friendly amongst them. We are confident with a bit more careful work and time he will thrive and find his place with his new friends and family.
As part of your adoption package, in addition to your certificate and photograph, you will have the opportunity to come along and meet him at his home on Hayling Island at one of our Open Days.
